It's that time of the year again — the summer holidays are over and the conference season starts!

I'm very excited to be at Oracle Open World in San Francisco again, where I will pretty busy. On Saturday and Sunday I will attend MySQL Connect, primarily to man the Oracle Linux booth in the exhibition area. But I hope to catch some of the talks as well (I shared my favourite sessions with Keith Larson from the MySQL team in this interview). It was a good to put  face to the names today at day 1 of #oow11 .

Tried to spend most of the day supporting the MySQL Community Kiosk with Sherri, Sarah and Dave. I was able to step into a couple sessions to show support as well.

Day two the MySQL sessions will be at the Marriot Marquis Hotel. Moscone South will have MySQL demos at the Exhibition Hall and Moscone West will have the MySQL Community Kiosk. Come on down and support MySQL!

JavaOne Latin America 2010 (Day 1 and 0) started in an exciting way where I found a nice multi-instance cluster installation of GlassFish. More on that later but enjoyed meeting colleagues from different groups within Oracle.
